SEPTEMBER 30 - OCTOBER 2, 2011 - TRINITY PENTECOSTAL TABERNACLE- PASTOR BILL FINLEY

It was a great HOMECOMING WEEKEND at Louisville, with the blessings of the Lord, wonderful fellowship and food to be remembered for a long time. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with these good folks that we have come to love and appreciate so much.

We were happy to return to Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle and see that the Lord is working and moving in the lives of his people. It was thrilling to hear of new people coming, and to see victories and answers to prayer. The word of God is powerful. When we hear and heed even the SMALL THINGS it is amazing how the Holy Ghost comes upon the scene in such miraculous ways. During this wonderful weekend, we SAW GOD WORK and that's what makes for a GREAT HOMECOMING!  Praise the Lord!

There was great music and singing from many.  A trio of girls came from Free Gospel Bible Institute in Export, Pennsylvania and blessed the services with their songs and testimonies. Brother Goodwin preached and Sister Goodwin testified and sang, and taught the Sunday morning adult and youth class. She appreciated the willing volunteers who participated in a skit about standing before the Lord on judgment day:  Brother and Sister Ortenzi, Brother Sizemore, and Brother Banks sure did a great job. Thanks so much for making it real!

This Homecoming was made complete with a special feature on Saturday afternoon...with a pig roast and all the extras. Jethro Lloyd and his wife delivered that critter to the church where it was roasted throughout Friday night and carried onto a serving table in the dining hall by some sturdy helpers.

The church folks had prepared all kinds of special foods to go along with the celebration and together we all had a wonderful time of fellowship. Sister Finley sampled one of the first tastes of the pig roast.

There is no greater celebration than one with the people of God, and of course there is the greatest Day coming when we all shall be united together with Jesus in heaven. What a day that will be! Let us keep rapture-ready!
